The Purpose Palace
Most people spend their lives decorating. A new habit hung on the wall, a routine repainted, a motivational quote pinned up in the hallway — and the place still doesn’t feel like home.
This book asks a different question: not which single fix to try next, but why none of them held. Steven spent twenty years as a systems engineer before he became a coach. He would never have accepted that failure analysis at work, so he stopped accepting it in his own life — and ran the whole thing as an engineering problem instead.
What came out of it was a structure he could live in. Nine ordered parts: clearing the site, sharpening the tools, laying the foundations of mind and body, drawing the floor plan, choosing the materials, hiring the crew, and keeping the whole thing in good repair.
Thirty-nine small, deliberate tasks. Five minutes a day, a pen and a notebook. No dramatic gestures.
This book joins the dots the other ones leave you to join yourself.

Why this one is different
Steven asked people why the self-help they had tried hadn’t stuck. The answers came back in four clusters.
You weren’t engaged. The exercises felt like homework.
You couldn’t picture yourself succeeding. The self-belief wasn’t there.
There was no cost to stopping. Nobody was watching.
Every piece of advice arrived on its own. Nobody connected them.
